Breakfast Starting the Day with the visit of the Kasbah Chellah, visit of the Mohamed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower, then departure for Casablanca to visit the country's economic capital: the United Nations Square, the Boulevard Mohamed V, the ANFA district and the Corniche with an external visit to the Hassan II Mosque. After lunch, we continue to Oualidia, stopping by El Jadida, the town was heavily influenced by Portuguese settlers in the 8th century. The architecture of the citadel and ramparts that they constructed reflect their influence. After your breakfast in the Riad our authentic journey will start towards Essaouira crossing the seaport of Safi on the Atlantic Ocean, It’s a centre for the fishing industry of Morocco and also for the export of phosphates. Pottery is manufactured. The city was held by the Portuguese until 1541. Subsequently it came under French control until Morocco became an independent nation in 1956. Lunch in a local restaurant before continuing to our accommodation in Essaouira by the sea, Over Night in Riad.
We will spend the morning at leisure for shopping or relaxing in Essaouira, a wonderfully relaxed coastal fishing town where you can explore Phoenician, Berber, Portuguese, Jewish, and French past in the well-preserved architecture, small alleyways and enchanting medina. Stroll through the serene squares, browse artisan shops and galleries, and observe the handicrafts of the ’tuya’ wood found only in Morocco, before leaving to Marrakech at 16:00 via the scenic inland road with the forest of the Argan trees (sometimes with goats!) which only exist in this region of the world, arrive in Marrakech by 18:30, Night in Riad or Hotel.
Free day in Marrakech, a city famous for its Jemaa el Fna, which will occupy much of our time: an amalgam of aromas, sounds and sensations unique. The city also has plenty of places you wander and enjoy: Gardens Majorelle, Menara, Tombs Saadianas, walks or the mellah medina (the old Jewish quarter), the route of the walls, the modern city (Gueliz) with Western lifestyles. We leave Marrakesh around 08:00 in the morning; we drive toward the Atlas Mountains, many beautiful landscapes and Berber authentic (16th and 17th century) villages. First Stop to visit a tradition Moroccan house, to see how people live and how they cook… from the roof of the house you have a beautiful view on a 17th century village and on the valley. The Lady- the owner of the house- makes a tea ceremony to show us how to make mint tea and after they serve us a kind of country breakfast (bread, butter, honey, olive oil and tea) After this we continue deeper in the valley; we stop for a 20 minutes Camel Ride. After the camel raid we drive until the end of the road, we leave the van and go hiking for two hours to see some water falls (cascades). We come back to the van; we drive half a way and stop for lunch in a nice restaurant having beautiful views on the valley. Lunch is composed of a variety of Moroccan Food. By 4:00 Pm we drive back to Marrakesh. Night in accommodation as selected category.
